Security principles
Local Storage
All documents, emails, and financial data are stored on the Foca server — either on your hardware or on a dedicated VPS. Nothing is uploaded to third-party cloud services.
Fragments, not complete files
When you ask a question, the AI model receives only the text fragments relevant to your question — not the complete document and never all your data. Context is minimal and specific.
Granular Access Control
Each user has configurable permissions. You control who can view data, generate reports, access emails, or administer the platform. 27 individual permissions available.
Complete Audit Trail
Every action in the platform is logged: who, what, when. AI conversations, generated reports, accessed documents, modified configurations — everything is traceable.
What the AI model sees
Foca uses a language model (LLM) to understand your questions and formulate answers. The platform does not send your complete documents to the AI model — it only sends fragments relevant to your question.
Responses are displayed together with references to source documents, so you can always verify where the information comes from.
